Wharf Lane has been active in Wellington, Ontario since 2016. It was founded by long-time Wellington enthusiast, Anthony Lemke and his brother, Chris, both dedicated urbanists with a passion for community building. Since its inception, Wharf Lane has acquired a portfolio of properties in Wellington with the aim of contributing to the sustainable, long-term growth of the community, both commercially and residentially.
At Wharf Lane, we are committed to working with partners who share our vision of building a tight-knit, vibrant and demographically diverse community, where growing economic opportunities keep people working and living in town.
Recent Projects
Restored Red-Brick
One of the few traditional Ontario red-brick century homes in Wellington, Ont., 303 Main houses 3 commercial units and the Flats. Located next door to Wharf Lane’s seaside inspired board and batten revival, 303 Main generates a lively street-front presence with its red cobblestone patio frontage.
Residential-to-Commercial Conversion
This building started life as one of Wellington’s first single family homes. Our renovation unearthed a hidden history of numerous expansions, including a mortise and tenon drive shed and an early 20thC commercial unit.
Century Cottage Renovation
A century cottage renovated in 2016 to accommodate 4 commercial units. Wharf Lane worked with the existing building, inspired by the similarity between the colourful East-Coast seaside villages and Wellington’s own maritime history, to create a splash of vibrant colour in the heart of Wine Country.
